The Herbal Barge Clinic offers one to one consultations to seek solutions , strategies, and herbal medicine treatments for a diverse spectrum of health conditions.




Medicines

Herbal remedies may be given in the form of tinctures (plant preparations in alcohol), herbal teas, powders, capsules, pills, syrups, ointments or creams.

Some medicines are sourced from sustainable and ethical suppliers; others are hand made from plants harvested by the practitioner and helpers.


Prices

This practice offers a sliding scale:

 £60 for first appointment with £45 for a follow up.

 £45 for first appointment with £30 for a follow up.

We also run a low cost student training clinic where the first consultation costs £25 and follow up appointments are £15

Medicines cost extra and tend to work out to cost between £4 - £12 per week.

Shop medicines and products are priced individually

Repeat prescriptions cost £8 per 100ml.


What is herbal medicine?

In western herbal medicine – as in other herbal traditions -, thousands of years of empirical wisdom are integrated with contemporary scientific insight so that the use of plant remedies remains valuable and relevant in modern healthcare.


What to expect from a consultation.

The first consultation may last up to two hours, so that a full case history can be elicited. You will be asked about your current symptoms, but also your previous medical history, previous and current medication, your general health, diet, and lifestyle. It is likely it will include a physical examination.
